Camping is an inexpensive family activity and a way to give your kids what they may lack in this go-go era: unstructured time outside, away from screens, homework and an avalanche of after-school activities. Camping provides a rare chance for them (and you) to be a kid, and what could be more important?

Cash in on this once a year opportunity to camp at Eastwood MetroPark. Camping at the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience is a great way to make sure you don’t miss out on any action. FREE camping at the festival also allows you to not have to drive anywhere and experience a rare opportunity to camp at Eastwood MetroPark. All registered campers will get an extra entry into the GearUp Giveaway featuring Hala. Prizes include a Grand Trunk double hammock, Crazy Creek camp chairs, Kovea backpacking stoves and the grand prize, a $1200 Hala SUP package.

Tent camping allows you to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors without the distraction of modern conveniences. There’s no better way to truly get back to nature. At the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience, we have everything you need to start your camping journey.

  • FREE camping in the campground.
Camping is by far the best way to experience the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience. Camping at the festival is like becoming a part of a colorful village that exists only for a few days. The tent campground is conveniently located right outside the event in the wooded area next to the lagoon and features spacious tent sites. A limited number of spots for small campers and vehicle campers are available with pre-registration. Make friends, stay close to the action of the event, and even take a mid-day nap. Learn more about how to get a free tent site or space for vehicle camping or a small camper.

  • Camping Gear
Check out all the latest camping gear from local retailers and manufacturers in the Exhibitor Village. You might even find a bargain in the Used Gear Area, supported by Dayton Hikers.
  • Outdoor School
Learn camp cooking, how to pack, and other outdoor skills in the Outdoor School.

After the event

Five Rivers MetroParks welcomes groups, families or individuals to explore their wild sides by spending a night under the stars at one of 23 campsites. Camping is a great way to experience nature at dawn, dusk and even after dark. Five Rivers MetroParks offers frontcountry campsites that are easily accessible by car and hike-in backcountry sites for the more adventurous camper. Both offer a way for you to unplug just a short drive from home.
