Five Rivers MetroParks Foundation Receives REI Grant to Plant Trees during Adopt-A-Park 2018
The Five Rivers MetroParks Foundation was awarded a $3000 grant from REI to help support enhancements to Eastwood MetroPark, the Buckeye Trail, and North Country Trail. Several hundred trees will be planted during Adopt-A-Park 2018 to stabilize the bank along the Mad River and replace recently removed invasive honeysuckle.
- 50 volunteers will join Five Rivers MetroParks’ and REI staff at Eastwood MetroPark for this annual Earth Day celebration April 21, 2018!
- In 2017, nearly 2,000 volunteers planted 3,500 trees, cleared 47,000 lbs. of litter and cleaned eight miles of roadways, 16 miles of trails and 31 miles of waterways!
