A high-tech treasure hunt in the woods, geocaching is an outdoor activity crowd-pleaser for all ages. Geocaching is also a great way to explore new areas, check out points of interest in a park and enjoy family togetherness.

Locate our special event caches!

Thanks to the Miami Valley Geocachers, new and experienced geocachers can get their GPS on at the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience. Visitors will be oriented to the Five Rivers MetroParks geocaching policy, learn about adventure caching and search for temporary caches hidden in Eastwood MetroPark during the festival. Stop by the Miami Valley Geocachers booth to get the coordinates for the caches available. Caches will offer fun options for a novice as well as for the seasoned geocacher. Locate our special event caches using borrowed handheld GPS (Global Positioning System) units, or download the app for your phone and have a ready-to-go geocache finder wherever you are.

  • Geocaching 101 sessions
    Geocaching is becoming increasingly popular all over the country. These introductory sessions at the Miami Valley Geocachers booth will focus on geocaching equipment, tips, etiquette and the Five Rivers MetroParks geocaching policy.

    • Saturday 1 PM and 3 PM
    • Sunday 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM
  • Cache-In, Trash-Out Event
    Help return Eastwood MetroPark to its former beauty, nad log a special event cache! Participae in the CITO event from 4 to 5 PM on Sunday, October 2.

To find caches hidden in Five Rivers MetroParks, visit Find a geocache to locate by address or ZIP code search, grab your GPS and get started! Please note that all caches in Five Rivers MetroParks are within 15 feet of official hiking trails and marked with an official MetroParks geocache sticker. Please stay on the trails and have fun.
