Fitness enthusiasts of all ages: Get your mind, body and soul ready for a weekend of adventure! Eastwood MetroPark will offer outdoor classes and competitions in a variety of fitness areas, including bootcamp, running, cycling, yoga and Zumba. These events are available to guests of all interest and ability levels.

11:30 AM – 12 PM: Zumba with Jorge – The Studio Fitness

Meet at the Fitness Zone.

12 – 1 PM: Yoga for Athletes with Heather – Heather Feather 360

Join Heather for a one hour restorative yoga session that targets the places athletes need most.  You will restore and rejuvenate the body.  Heather will guide you through stretches for the feet, hips & hamstrings.  This class will be pure relaxation and a chance to decrease inflammation in the body.  BYOMat and water! Meet at the Fitness Zone.

1 – 1:30 PM: Cardio BoUnCe with Lisa – The Studio Fitness

High Energy Cardio endurance dance fitness for all ages with popular music from today. Meet at the Fitness Zone.

2 – 3 PM: Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga with Jen – Innerlight Yoga and Wellness

Combine the life-enhancing benefits of yoga: peace, flexibility, and strength of body, mind, and spirit with the power of the sun and the tranquility of the water element. Meet at the Fitness Zone.

2:30 – 3:30 PM: Family Fitness Challenge – The Unit

“Try” this full family fun challenge course with a friendly outdoor competition including an array of age appropriate obstacles. Bring family, friends or neighbors. Age 5Y and up. Tennis shoes, casual dress and water recommended. Meet at the Fitness Zone.

4 – 5 PM: Simple Vinyasa with M’Le – Speakeasy Yoga 

If you’re new to power yoga and looking for the perfect place to start. Here you will learn correct alignment, heavily emphasize the breath to movement connection, and still get a good sweat. Lighthearted and fun, this simple power yoga practice is perfect for the beginner, the wise, old guru, and everyone in between! BYOMat and water! Meet at the Fitness Zone.

5:30 – 7 PM: Zumba and More with Doug – The Studio Fitness

Zumba & More W/ Doug SFT Team  mixing it up with a variety of fitness format. Meet at the Fitness Zone.

9 – 10 AM: Zumba and More with Doug – The Studio Fitness

Zumba & More W/ Doug SFT Team  mixing it up with a variety of fitness format. Meet at the main stage.

10 – 11 AM: Morning Vinyasa Flow with Tee – Day Yoga Studio

This class is a vinyasa style class where each movement and pose will be linked with the breath. BYOMat and water! Meet at the Fitness Zone.

11 AM – 12 PM: Meditation 101 with Heather – Heather Feather 360

Heather will offer up the simplest meditation techniques that you can take home with you to practice.  You will be guided through 10 minute meditation practices with light stretching and movement in between.  Come and expand your mind. Meet at the Fitness Zone.

12:30 – 1 PM: Labblast Fitness with Cindy – The Studio Fitness

High energy for all fitness levels with a wide variety of music including disco, hip-hop and more for a fun dance club-like atmosphere . It’s addicting. It’s a Blast! Meet at the Fitness Zone.

1 – 1:30 PM: R&B Line Dancing with Cynthia – The Studio Fitness

Join this “Try It” for a little taste of the action @ The Studio Fitness. Meet at the Fitness Zone.

Kids will then do a breath awareness and breath watching exercise, move into a few fun postures and games and finish with a final relaxation. Meet at the Kid’s Skillz Lab

Day Yoga Studio

Day Yoga Studio makes yoga accessible to all students with a wide variety of classes. Beginners gain confidence while the more experienced deepen their practice. Heather Feather 360 encompasses all aspects of a healthy lifestyle. The Studio Fitness  (Formally Studio Zumba)

Studio Fitness offers a variety of fitness classes for adults and children. Open 7 days a week  there are many classes for all levels taught by certified trainers including Zumba, Latin Dance, Pilates, LaBlast, Barre and PILOXING and more!

After OutdoorX

Getting fit outdoors stimulates your body and your mind. At Five Rivers MetroParks, many of our programs and facilities are designed specifically to improve the health of people in the Miami Valley. Your MetroParks have more than 150 miles of paved and natural surface trails for fitness activities and they are free to use — so come out and start building your healthy lifestyle.

Fitness Classes at RiverScape MetroPark

RiverScape MetroPark hosts a variety of fitness experiences throughout the year, from Fitness in the Park programs on Saturdays each summer to programs hosted in the park by third-party groups.

The Unit
The Unit is a Dayton-based, volunteer-driven, community-focused fitness group. The Unit provides FREE bootcamp-style workouts to members of the community, in a loose exchange for participation at various community service events around the city. The Unit works out at RiverScape on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6 – 7:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9 – 11 AM.

Trainers United
Shawn Lillard of Thoroughbred-Fitness LLC has worked with two well-respected colleagues, Jason Shelton and Ryan Harris, to develop the collaborative partnership called Trainers United. Trainers United provides free Fit Camp sessions on Saturdays from 11 AM – 12:30 PM at RiverScape, as well as mentoring programs for children in Dayton to help with goal setting, attitude management and healthy living.
